HTLC Youth
Sunday School
Sunday school is offered each week for children and youth from 6th through 12th grades. We offer the following classes:
-
6th-8th grades
-
9th-12th grades
Sunday school classes meet from 10:00am-10:40am on Sunday mornings and are taught by a team of faithful volunteers. All are welcome. We look forward to getting to know you!
Sunday Night Youth Group
AKA “Sunday Night Live," we have multiple small groups meeting on Sunday evenings during the school year. We provide many opportunities for our youth to grow in faith in Jesus Christ through the Word and Christian fellowship. Typically, SNL is 5:00pm-7:30pm on Sunday evenings. Each evening begins with Confirmation (middle school) or a Bible study (high school), followed by dinner and a fun activity or service project, and we end with Evening Prayer.
A typical Sunday evening looks like:
-
5:00pm-5:45pm: Confirmation Class/High School Small Groups
-
5:45pm-6:20pm: Dinner
-
6:20pm-7:00pm: Games/Fellowship time
-
7:00pm-7:30pm: Evening Prayer

What’s a Mystery Thursday?
Mystery Thursdays are just that... a mystery! Youth will meet at the church on Thursday morning with $10 and a water bottle, load up the van, and head to a mystery location. Possible activities include: a visit to a local museum, a trip to Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury, an afternoon movie, or maybe even a day trip to Blowing Rock.
Trips will always be within 1 1/2 to 2 hour driving distance (usually closer,) and will not involve water/strenuous activity unless noted otherwise. We will also have chaperones on all trips. If you would like to chaperone, see Cody for more!
